PARVATHI PARMESHWARA – A comedy serial comes as a refreshing change. The serial is based on the hilarious escapades of Parvathi, the female protagonist of the serial. Her antics invariably lands her husband Parameshwara, into all sorts of trouble. All the efforts of Parameshwara to control his wife fails thus pushing him into further trouble. PARVATHI PARAMESHWARA …The Characters
PARVATHI
PAARU for short is a typical middleclass housewife of the present day world. She has an exceptionally brilliant knack of landing into hilarious situations thanks to the over smart brain of hers which in unimaginably wacky. She is not a common housewife but an interestingly comic person, who will create situations that will tickle and make you laugh. She baffles everyone with her crazy pranks and funny remarks. It is an eternal mystery as to how she manages to land up in some stupid trouble quite often. Indeed she makes a fool of herself by acting very intelligent. She always tries to prove to her husband that she is intelligent. This always lands her up in some funny fix or the other.

PARAMESHWARA
Paramu as he always addressed by everyone is the poor blessed husband of Paaru. He is a professional actor but he seems to act more in real life than on stage or screen. He is a flexible person who takes his life easy, Paramu prefers to avoid friction with any body more so with his stupid wife. He is very understanding and doesn’t try stop his wife’s idiosyncrasies for he knows it would be impossible make his wife understand that she is stupid, surely not a sign of being “Henpecked”. Being intelligent he always pulls his wife out of the embarrassing situations she lands into. He loves her a lot and never gets angry at her at all.

SUBRAMANYA:
Subbu as he is addressed by everybody is Paramu’s man servant. He is a street smart and witty fellow who knows which side of the bread is buttered. He switches sides faster than a politician with ease. He is very much attracted to Vedavathi and goes all out to please her inspite of the fact that she despises him

VAISHAALI
VAISHAALI is a typical middle class woman. She is the neighbor of Paramu. She considers herself to be a guide to Parvathi. She keeps helping Paaru by giving her ideas to prove herself intelligent which needless to say always fails. She promptly barges into Paaru’s house every morning to have a cup of coffee. She is always ready to help Paaru.

VEDAVATHI
Alias VEDA is Vaishaali’s younger sister. She is a very dim witted woman and a great admirer of Paramu She thinks that ghe is the best actor in the world. She considers Paramu to be the most intelligent human being in the world. She enthusiastically helps Paramu whenever he lands up into some problem because of Paaru’s crazy pranks. Every body has accepted that the fact that she is dimwitted and they tolerate her. Her stupid reactions in serious situations create rib-tickling humour. She wants to be a radio jockey no doubt she always has headphone and a microphone on her.

GUNDU RAO:
A good for nothing happy go lucky fellow, Gundu Rao alias Gundanna is the husband of Vaishaali. He firmly believes that he can do anything and everything, from plumbing to publishing, from gardening to galvanizing, the list being endless. For each and everything he says, “Aden Maha? Naan adhakintha channagi maadtheeni !!!” He firmly believes that he was not cut out to work under anybody and that he should be his own boss. Needless to say he incurs the wrath of everybody more so his wife for every second incident.
